What is your primary reason for favoring abortion?

abortion is wrong. The Lord has said, "You shall not murder," (Exodus 20:13). The life that is growing within the mother is a child, a baby. The Bible looks at the life in the womb as a child.: Exodus 21:22 says, "And if men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she has a miscarriage, yet there is no further injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him; and he shall pay as the judges decide," (NASB).1

The main concern of the "Pro-Choicers" is not the guarded protection of the life in the womb. Instead, the main concern is the "rights" of the mother over and against the rights of the child growing in her. The child, who cannot exercise its own will, is killed. And, in order to make the killing more palatable, the baby is called a "fetus", or "non-viable", or "not yet human", etc. This eases the conscience. But, for those who say the baby isn't 'viable', have you ever seen a sonogram of an abortion? You can see the 'non-viable fetus' retracting from the instruments of death and seeking self preservation. It wants to live. Some would respond by saying that even a rodent wants to live. But what is in the womb of the mother is human.

The Bible says for people to protect the weak and down trodden. But with abortionists, the rights of the baby are sacrificed to the rights of the mother -- and the father doesn't even have any rights. The mother cries out that the life in here is part of her body and that she has the right to do with her body as she wills.

First off, not all pro-choicers will abort. That statement is ignorant. Second, I favor the right to choose because 1. consent to sex IS NOT consent to motherhood, 2. NOTHING/NO ONE has the right to use the body of another without their consent or against their will, and this includes a fetus, and 3. Having a kid should be a choice, NOT an obligation.

Most of them do so because they believe women have the right to choose and control their own bodies. And I agree with this.

I'm a bit more extreme, though. I'm all for the human species going the way of the dodo. I think humanity is plague on the Earth and it would be better off with us. So I'm actually pro-abortion, not just pro-choice. The earth is over populated. But that's just my opinion and it is not shared by most people.

No one favors abortion. That's an idiotic statement. I believe that women should have the choice to control what happens to their own bodies. If people don't like abortion then I guess they just shouldn't have one.

A woman should not be forced to act as an incubator to sustain a life she does not want to carry. Her only "Choice" should NOT be to endanger her health or her life in order to end an unwanted pregnancy.

How about we start funding research for artificial wombs, or fetal transplants, etc. so that abortions will be unncessessary?

because of the fact it is not a "toddler," it fairly is a blob of jelly, and it has taken over her physique without her consent. she will abort for the comparable reason she will shoot somebody in the event that they attempt to attack her. it fairly is a non-consensual violation of her actual integrity. the undeniable fact that it is not even alive only makes it *much extra* stupid to declare she will't abort. A pump (and it is not even a actual pump - it is single-chamber and would not circulate everywhere) isn't adequate for something to be considered someone. We pull the plug on innovations-ineffective persons because of the fact without innovations, they are only meat with a pump. And a fetus isn't even that - it would not fairly have a physique of its very own considering that each thing is being run by using the lady's physique, and it would not even have an entire heart. I favour abortion because I've had accidental, unwanted pregnancies and I can tell you that it is a terrifying and awful situation to be in. I had no maternal feelings towards the foetus, I couldn't tell my family (they would have kicked me out) and I felt like I had an alien inside me. Plus the pregnancy made me feel really ill. The abortion was such a relief.

The father shouldn't have a say because he is not the one who has to carry the thing and give birth to it.

Pro-Choice is NOT favoring abortion. It is about the right of the mother to choose something that is no one else's business.

Favor abortion? Never. But I do favor people's right to choose.

I believe we all have the right to make decisions based on what we think is right and wrong. Freedom of choice means you have the freedom in all choices you make, not just those that everybody else agrees on.
