Gift Ideas for weddings?

Since my boyfriend and I have already lived together for along time, and lived on our own for along time. We don't need anything like gravy boats or toasters.

What are "odd" gifts to ask for? We kind of want to do like board games, video games, books, ....cheap to expensive stuff varying for different people.

Is that odd?

I know its our wedding our choice, but what is too tacky?

Where can you register? other then macys and target? and furniture stores like crate and barrel

Ask for a new digital camera maybe something better then what you already have. You can have fun taking pictures or creating videos as a married couple especially there are any kids or soon kids in the near future.

i think it's cool that you're wanting to register for board games!

by the time my husband and i got married we didn't need anything either (we also didn't register--we really didn't feel like telling people what to give us--we truly felt it was the thought that counts...)

you can register pretty much anywhere--Bass Pro Shop, local boutiques, hardware stores, ANY place :o)

In fact, i already had china and silver (family heirlooms) so i didn't want to register for that...and we hardly ever use anything besides the corelle (stuff that's hard to break and is easy to microwave...).

odd gifts--well, if you're registering at target you can put all sorts of "weird" presents on your registry there--and people who are struggling to make ends meet will appreciate being able to get something they can afford that you actually want.

    congrats on the impending nuptuals!

I think you can register at Kohls, JC Penny, Walmart, etc.

Just search it on google, anyway i don't think thats tacky at all, honestly if you already moved it and have all you need, theres really no reason to have 2 blenders. I think that what your doing (cheap to expensive) is really good, espically since people cant afford $500 towel warmers.

There are plenty of non-traditional registries. I've heard of people registering at hardware stores even. If most of your guests are computer savvy, you could register at Amazon.com for books and games, binoculars, office supplies, lawn furniture, garden hose holders, fitness equipment, a trampoline, a Kindle book reader...

Source(s): I registered at Amazon.com for books and other things. :-)

i wouldn't worry about the gift list being tacky i would be more worried about the actual ceremony. if the ceremony goes good the gift list wont be that big of a deal. as far as where to register you will just have to look around on your own.
