Can I put a series III 3800 supercharged engine in my 1996 Pontiac Bonneville?

My 1996 Pontiac Bonneville originally came with the series II 3800 supercharged engine and would like to know if I could swap it for the series III 3800 supercharged engine. If so what would I need to do to make the swap successful?

Yes, but you'll need the newer computer/ECM. It will bolt right in..

Yeah, it'll directly bolt in. You'll need a new ECU though, and if you're looking to make your series II faster, why not just shorten the pulley, get exhaust, and headers? It'll save you a lot of money and a lot of work.

Should be a bolt in. Maybe a few sensors from donor car
