Monopoly, why?
because I like the feeling of owning and manipulating everything around me. Monopolies are banned in the US.(not the board game but the actual big business/companies monopolies)

I like both. They are both family friendly games. Uno is a card game that does not take very long. You just have to get rid of all your cards. Probably takes about 30 min. at most. Monopoly, on the other hand, is a board game that takes a while. You have to buy all properties, trade, go to "jail"......I think it takes about 3 hrs.
Horseopoly, and Uno extreme are also very fun.
hope i helped!

If you have a limited amount of time and/or space in which to play, Uno is your best bet. If neither of these are a problem, I would go with Monopoly. Although both games are largely luck-based, there is a little more strategy and depth involved with Monopoly. - LJS

They are very different: UNO is a quick small card game. Quite fun easy to carry, easy to explain. You will like to play it with children, with friends, on travel, whenever you have a few minutes
Monopoly is a very long game that you will play when you have a few hours and a few good friends with who you spend the afternoon or the night. (By the way, Monopoly is quite obsolete today. Most players prefer the more modern games like The Settlers of Catan or Acquire)

UNO.
Because Monopoly is all about smashing you opponents into the ground which I hate. It also takes way too long and starts a fight.
Try Settlers of Catan.

UNO because you can play it quick and it is easy to learn. It is good for meeting new people at parties.
