When are the European Election results announced?

I think around 9 p.m is when results should start to come in, but election coverage always drags on for ages. I am a bit of a geek and will prob be following it quite closely though!

I'm not sure if the U.K. has already counted votes, and just hasn't released them yet (since not all E.U. countries voted on Thursday like we did and they are not meant to release results early)

but if they have only been counting them today then it could take a while for all the results to be released!

The first UK result is likely to be from the Northeast England and may come in just before 10pm but the other UK results will not come in until well after10pm. Sky News starts its coverage around 9pm this evening but most UK results are unlikeley to come before about 11pm and many after midnight. If you do not have satellite or freeview the only special programme on UK terrestial TV starts at 10pm and is on BBC2 chaired by David Dimbleby. This will also be giving the results from both England and Wales as well as the rest of Europe as they come in and analysing what they supposedly mean through the night.. But be aware fional results for the whole of Scotland and Northern Ireland will not be declared until after noon on Monday..
