remove a gmc jimmy transmission?

hi i just bought a transmission for my 1996 gmc jimmy 4x4 and i was wondering if anyone knows the easiest way to take the old one out or know of a web site i can see ...i was shot 1 year ago and have no strenth to take it all out (tranny and transfur case) is there a way i can take the transfur case out then the transmission ???

    Yes, we used to take t-case off first on many vehicles. You will need jacks and stands, many tools, etc, and may have to slide it back a little, then tip it down and slide it forward to clear crossmember. The 5 or 6 nuts at front of case are what mainly holds case to trans.Take you time, and drain the t-case first, but be ready for some spillage, it will happen.

    Do as mentioned, and also, you can bend the two little tabs on front of pan to help clear the exhaust pipe.
