Is it a coincidence that the 2012 prophecy is coinciding with the rise of power from the Democratic Party?

Ha ha, still believing in all those Dooms Day theories? There's tons of them. Here's a list of them, this only shows the ones after 2000 to 2012, but rest assured people have been attempting to predict the end since the beginning... I wouldn't take this one to heart.

Whether the prophecy is bull or not, it can be a self fulfilling prophecy. The way things are going, some one somewhere is going to get a hold of some bad-*** made in USA nuke, and do some damage. The China made ones are too rough to create any serious damage, just dirty the environment is all.

The prophecy is not only the Mayan Calendar, it is the winter solstice when the earth and some other thingies and the galaxy lines up to create a pole shift which can potentially do serious damage to my dinky little house. Nothing to do with DP. Besides the DP rules, they are awesome, who else can get their willy cleaned in the white office?

One hand on the nuke, one hand signing your tax bill, while getting head... Now that's true power only the Demo's can have!

The 2012 prophecy is a bunch of horsesh*t continued by paranoid internet idiots with nothing better to do.

Supposedly the Mayans were able to predict several key historical events, but the prophesies are so vague that they can be interpreted to mean anything. And if a prophesy can't be used to explain something, it's just ignored.

Also, the prophesy doesn't say that the world will end, it just says that there will be a great change. That could mean anything!

Further more, if Obama is reelected, he would return to office January of 2013, a full month after the event was supposed to happen.

Stop circulating pointless crap and do a little thinking for once

Yes, it is a coincidence. Or maybe not, since the democratic party "rose" to power in 2009.

this is the apocalypse were talking about not national politics. The world happens to be a whole lot bigger than America, plus if something happens the most likely thing would be a nuclear scenario. Causes for that have been around since the cold war.

Lol. "Prophecy' has never come true and there is no 'prophesy' for 2012. If you are referring to the Mayan calendar, the calendar is cyclical, not ending, and will simply start over at year 1. They didn't believe in the conspiracy that you believe in or attribute to them.

Hey those prophecies saved a lot of jobs amongst the Mayans, so it can't be all bad...

I wonder if they had the advanced math needed to ACCURATELY calculate all of the jobs they saved...

No. Nothing will happen in 2012.
