Dish TV, channel 231 horse channel?+++++++++++?

I've never had satellite, so first time for everything but to my surprise today I seen on channel 231 Chris Cox, so my question is: this the only channel with horse info, and how do I find out when it's on next, how often, I've been to the Dish site and haven't found the info I'm looking for, like is it daily, weekly, and times? Thanks for any info. Every have a great night, and get out and ride:)

Update:

LOL should be everyone, I'm gettin sleepy, everyone have a great night:)

Update 2:

Nope no DVR, but it was on this afternoon, hum guide thing not sure, I'll check around to see if I can find it. Is it like a TV guide?

This channel is RFDTV (Rural Free Delivery TV). They have lots of great horse shows on everyday during their horse hour. They also have Clinton Anderson, whom I love!

If you go to http://www.rfdtv.com/ you can see the schedule. I have my dish to record a whole load of horse programs there - the downside is that they repeat quite often too. Also - the description of the program is often wrong so give everyone a chance. It is a low budget channel, so there are no frills, but it is great as it is the only channel with that amount of horse stuff.

Also great if you can't sleep - turn it on and watch cow auctions!

i have a Dish DVR and i record Chris Cox sometimes. idk if we have the same stuff, but for me the horse stuff comes on at like one in the morning on some farm and country channel... so thats why i record it. it seems like it comes on weekly, because i don't watch much tv and when i do check there's only like four or so in there.

sorry i couldn't be of more help, but you can check the guide thing and see when it's on next, and maybe find out from there how often it comes on. if you have a DVR i suggest recording it.

I record about 6 good horse trainers per week on RFDTV to watch whenever I have time. Cox is our absolute favorite and we have gone to TN to watch him 3 times.

When the above poster talked about the GUIDE, she meant that your remote has a button that says GUIDE. Mine is on the upper right side. It gives you a listing of what is on that channel for days in advance and what time it comes on. Use your arrows to scroll to the right and you can see all the upcoming scheduled shows.

Normally, they only show horseback riding shows when they are like, the olympics or the world equestrian games. Unfortunately, there isn't a set channel which is specifically for horses.
