I don't care who wins the Cup but....?

Are the referees out to lunch?? They have missed blatant calls by both teams in the finals...the NHL referees have always been the worst in major league sports but this is too obvious!!! Your opinion??

They have been bad, but they have missed calls both ways. I am for one team, but a couple times I was surprised that a couple things weren't called on them because they were so blatant. But neither team has had an overwhelming amount of power play time so it's pretty even. I would like to see a little bit more called because once they found out the ref wasn't going to call that penalty, it happened a lot more. I don't think it is the worst sport, but it is definitely not good, especially when the ref at center ice is making a call on a play that is at the end boards. If that were to stop, it would be a lot better.

I'm not as upset at the missed calls as I am at the crap calls. The goal tender interference last game and another the one before were both crap. Z got tossed in to fleury and the pens had one called on them that Lindsrom pushed the guy into ozzie. Then the ref at center ice calls the one on Z, not the ref that was literally two feet away? Crap. They need to tell the center ice ref to keep his whistle in his pocket if he isn't the closest to the play.

I'm also sick of the home team doing no wrong. It's ridiculous.

I would just like a little bit of consistency and the refs to let them play when nothing is done wrong.

i agree but i don't think they want to call every little penalty or else the game would take forever and nobody likes when more than half the period is spent on the power play. the only ones i have a problem with is when the non-call is immediately followed by a goal, like the one in game 3 when pittsburgh had 6 men on the ice. but otherwise, i think the refs are just letting the teams play...

oh and btw, NBA refs are the worst in all of sports. http://cbs11tv.com/mavericks/Mavericks.Controversi...

  • Wrong... NBA officials are the worst out of all sports. And NHL officials are actually the best.

What ref doesn't miss a call here or there? But difference is, they are consistent! I don't know how many people I've told this to but...

The calls ARE, or ARE NOT going both ways. You may not like the way the game is going with so many non-calls, but it's helping the product of the games more than anything.

I absolutely hate games, (No matter what sport), that have too many whistles.

It's crazy. A few games ago, a Red Wings defenseman (Erickson) got an interference penalty on a pens dump in. He ran the pens player into the boards. It was a good call. It resulted in a pens PP goal.

The same exact play happened in tonights game, but the teams were flipped and there was no call.

    Unbelievable!!!

Thats true the refs ant callin anything on either side, no Slashes for Malkin and no tripping on Osgood and a boatload more the refs can never find a balance between over calling and not calling anything, they suk and need to be replaced

My opinion-You have never watched one NFL game in your life, when the NHL starts using 60 yr old men to try catch up to 22 yr old athletes then you have problems...NBA is a close second..Fouls on every play,ughh..

I still say baseball has the best but I'm biased being a former player and all....Actually,I should hate them more being a former player but what are ya gonna do?

To answer your question-Blown calls?Sure,it's called the human factor..Humans make mistakes but one sided?Absolutely not..
