Would Ferris Fain have made the Hall of Fame had he played longer?
1B/OF Ferris Fain played 9 years in the AL, had a .290 lifetime BA, .424 OBP, averaged almost a hit per game and made the AL All-Star Team 5-times. Do you think he would have HOF numbers had he played longer?

I did NOT say he belonged in the HOF, I merely asked an opinion. Yes, Fain was somewhat of a journeyman, but was a steady ballplayer and 5 time All-Star. Most journeymen do not make All-Star teams!

judging by his numbers he was a solid ballplayer but looking at how his numbers dropped in 1955 it looks like he was about done. i doubt he would've done much better than 50 rbi's a season after that. HOF? no.

Ferris Fain was nothing more than a good journeyman ball player.
He did have one or two better than very good seasons, but certainly not enough to be considered Hall of Fame worthy.

No. Why should he be in the HOF. He had little power, did not hit .300, and displayed little speed. The HOF is for great players, not good players. Nice try.
