History doesn't have to be accepted by judicial standards in a court of law, we will never have "smoking gun" type of evidence. well in my mind god is real. when you find the confidence the love the answer to life depending question thats god at work in other words god is happiness. if you dont believe that i can understand that there's no way to change your mind. and i understand your not mocking christians either because you say you go to bible studies so its deff a legit question well if you dont believe that there necissarily "evidence" then ponder this....yes theres all that scientific crap that created the world but who or what made that happen. we think of god as a figure but really god is happiness and creation. and im not that religious either. trust me i question religion all the time. but it feels great to have faith in something bigger than us. now why its all different religions i dont care much for. i dont see why we cant all believe in god be happy and thats that . Like i said though i question it too.

Christianity is a faith-based religion. That means that its followers will never have evidence. They must, instead, have faith. Those Christians who pretend that there is evidence are ignoring this fundamental truth.

It is by "faith" that they are "saved" and by doubt that they are "condemned." Proof is not a part of the equation. They are not supposed to seek it; because, that would be an expression of doubt, which condemns them. And, they are not supposed to claim to have it; because, that is a lie.

They are commanded to simply have faith - period.

Besides, if Christians had the evidence they needed two things would happen:

1 - They would be shouting it from the rooftops - but, they aren't.

2 - Everyone would become "believers" - but, they aren't.

So, we can summarily dismiss their dishonest claims of evidence. No true Christian would ever pretend to have any such thing.

I can't think of any. There are some people that seem to think that accounts of 'supernatural' claims are evidence of them, as if they were just historic claims. I've yet to be pointed at any actual testable evidence that would confirm any of its 'supernatural' claims.

It seems other people would rather avoid answering, and instead ask about other ideas:

its all around you. the world is the evidence. you just need to open your eyes so you can see it. the old testament was written hundreds of years before Christ came to live on the earth, and it had been written about how he would enter the world, what he would do, and how he would die. explain THAT. theres so much proof around you that its incredible. but Christians... we dont need the proof. its called having faith. even if there WASNT proof, we would still believe, because we dont need all the extra stuff to make us believe. we have faith that the lord is there and that he loves us and always will.... we can only pray for the people who doubt the love of God so strongly that they go through the bible, reading it line for line, not looking to have the lord send them a messege, but rather to prove "us Christians" wrong.
