What happens to your level if you take off YA for the summer?
Will I lose my level if I do not answer again until September when the kids are back in school?
I generally stop posting after 3pm to avoid the change in direction on the boards that I enjoy. It seems that enough schools are out for the summer, not just the day now to change my boards from their normal q&a to the standard teen topics - which is just fine, no flames here. It is just not something that holds my interest.
Do I lose my level as well as the Top Contributor badges?

You will loose your TC badge if you stay away until September but you would soon be able to get that back again, but you would not loose your level or points. The only question I am not sure about is, how long you can leave your account untouched without it being suspended through lack of use. Personally I would just log in every day or so just to get my 1 point for visiting just to ensure that your account stays open. I am sure one of the other answerer's would probably know the correct answer to that part of your question.

I've been checking since you posted your question, as I am home with a hip replacement. I have sifted all day and have yet to see a question that fell out of teen category. Egads you're right.
I checked the rules. Just check in every now and then and say goodbye to your TC badge, but not your points and we'll see you on September mornings. Have a fun summer!
BTW, ivillage does not seem to attract the kids and askamazon works for book discussions.

You will lose your TC badges, yes ... those are dependent upon continued participation.
Your level won't be affected, nor will your points ... except that you will probably have acquired more points than the time you had previously because you will most likely have been awarded some Best Answers to old questions while you're away.

No, nothing happens to your level on here.
But, for the Top Contributor badge yes. You will lose your badge eventually if you won't come back on here. Even if you are off on Yahoo Answers for a week. You will lost the badge
