What is this weird rash?
I've been getting it for a while now, probably a year if not more. It usually occurs when I go swimming or take a shower. I get really itchy, mostly on my back but other places too. The scratch marks I leave get all swelled up and red, and look like whelps or something. They usually go away within 2 hours. They are so itchy its driving me crazy! Any clues? thanks

You could have an allergy to chlorine, it's not uncommon. Do you get the rash when you go swimming in fresh water? Is the rash ring shaped? It could also be ringworm, but that normally persists for longer than a few hours.

it sounds like the water is drying your skin out. maybe it affects your back more because you can't reach back there to put lotion on.
