i am going to get her spayed but we havn't found anywhere to do it yet that isn't overly expensive, and is she licks herself is it bad that she's eating all that blood?

O.k your puppy is not in pain she may have some cramps but not anything not natural. It is totally normal for her to be licking herself . How old is your puppy and you should spay her because the world is already filled with enough homeless stray dogs, no offense. What i got for my puppy when she was in heat for the first time is "spanky pants" lol. they wrap around the hind end but again it depends on your dog.
Hope this helps:)

Well it is very routine for your puppy to be in heat but no it does not hurt her and no she feels no pain like an earlier anwser if it is summer in your neck of the wods or it is extremley hot then yes she does this as another process of cooling aposed to the constent panting which cools them also...I would suggest unless you plan to bread her later on she will be fine being unspayed but if you dont want puppies in any way shape or form which could possibly change your dogs personality and relashionship with you then i would suggest getting her spayed but for no i would keep her away from any male contact..... but yes the putting water on your dog would help and keep her cooler than ever and relieve a lot of stress most likley....

Yes this is normal for her to lick her self. NO it doesn't hurt her nor is she in pain. the licking may be nasty but she is just cleaning herself up.

Depends. If its summer then thats normal, just get a wet rag and rub it on the dog. If its not then its probably dehrydrated, so give it lots of water. Call a vet for more information.

She's not in pain. All she's doing is quite normal. However, you need to have her spayed!

Uh, why didn't you have her spayed before her first heat? You do know, of course, that with each heat cycle, your dog's chances of mammary cancer increases?
