can 4 goldfish survive in a 30 gallon tank?
the goldies are all up to or under 3" and i just want to know if they will live good in a tank like that. i have a bronze one whos 2" named smokey, two red cap commons one 2 2/3" and the other 2 1/2 named yang and lang, and then my 3" comet beauty. i want the best for them and i just want to know if they can live a decent life in there until i can move them to the pond im planning to put them in? and even after i do can i still keep 1 in a 30 gallon?

they are fine for now, but will ALL need to be moved into a pond later on.
Because they are commons and comets, they will grow to be at least a foot. One of those needs at least a 55 gallon tank when full grown. However you could put 2 fancy goldfish in a 30 gallon because those only get about 6-8 inches. but it sounds like you already got the fish!

So you have a fancy, two commons and a comet? There is no such thing as a red cap common unless you mean they have red patches on their heads. Your fish will be fine in this tank for a number of months but the commons will get way too large to be kept inthe tank, while the comet and fancy can stay
