Is it just me, or is Windows Vista the most terrible microsoft product?
I bought a Windows Vista computer a while ago, and since then i have had nothing but trouble, its really really really slow and unreliable. the system takes up so much on the RAM Memory, you can only do one thing at once (you can only run one program at a time) Windows explorer crashes, game crashes, system restore failures, your system Straight away makes all your hardware outdated, and i can go on and on
this is more of an opinion, but i would like your views as well, also your problems with it, or if want to prove me wrong, go ahead, im just so darn bored of fixing little glitches in the computer.
thanks, :)

I think that all of the microsoft products are pretty rubbish, I'd change to a Mac in a flash if I could afford to. We've got vista on our pc and laptop too, the pc's not too bad but the laptop was a nightmare so I've recently installed Linux Ubunto which seems much better so far (and it's free!). I was really bored of fixing the glitches all the time too, and also really frustrated by the lack of support from microsoft.

I have three computers one running Windows 98, one running Windows Xp and the last running Windows Vista. Vista is the worse of the three. I find the hard drive is always working even though I am not trying to access the drive. I know for a fact there is no virus on the machine. The computer only has the OS and a couple of programs which I purchased from the shops and I do not use it to access the Internet, so there is no way there can be a virus on there. To me, Vista is not user friendly at all, it is a horrible WIMP system. It most certainly not programmed to be intuitive like Windows Icon Menu Pointer (WIMP) systems are supposed to be. Over all I find Vista annoying.

Vista had not greater problems than say homestead windows ninety 5 (or maximum working equipment releases) however the wold had replaced. human beings now no longer assume their computing device to do greater. they choose the comparable equipment greater value-effective, smaller and speedier. I ugraded my 6 12 months old ACER to a means packed Samsung. yet I went from XP to vista which meant issues bogged down. Vista grow to be a mistake alongside with place of work 2007. whether Microsoft gave those products away to companies they could no longer have sufficient funds to apply them. they could could improve hardware, application and prepare team on a equipment that now works in yet differently. Microsoft is particularly dropping the plot. for some years i bought Microsoft products for artwork. as a results of fact from a corporation viewpoint they made sense. They saved the corporation funds. yet now, Microsoft would not help diverse structures, and variations the interface meaning expenditures for preparation. So their middle shoppers are making a stable corporation determination to circulate someplace else and decide non-Microsoft products. yet rather Microsoft company questioning forces them into mistake after mistake. yet so does another application corporation.

Some of those glitches were fixed with the latest service pack. Make sure u have service pack 2 installed.
And Vista is definitely a RAM hog. Make sure u at least at the bare minimum have 2Gb of RAM.
And also it does seem the 64bit version runs a little better. This may be a perceptive thing and not a hard fact tho.
