t reg vauxhall vectra question?
Ok so i have a 99 vectra and its done 191000 miles!!
Ive only had it about 3 months, now heres the problem..
car used to cut out in low revs until i had it serviced and the rocker cover gasket replaced as it was leaking, it was fine for a while but most recently it has lost its power, it judders in high gear and sometimes in lower gears when it feels like it wants to stall and now when you start it up and drive it- its really noisy like it has a really chunky exhaust (which it does not) and the whole car shudders. no warning lights are coming up on the dash but it does have a tendency to heat up between the 80 and 100 mark when driving.
a friend said its the exhaust blowing badly. someone else said it could be the catalytic converter.
anyone have any ideas. thank you
its a 2l 16v

Okay, first of all, take it into a garage. But for your information, this is from Vauxhall themselves, if the engine jerks while driving it could be due to poor connection in engine coolant temperature sensor harness multi-plug due to vibration. I am guessing as to what engine size you have so this is just me hazarding a guess. You could have a hole in your exhaust. If your car has these problems a garage can fix it for you, but it does come at a price. If there is a problem with your exhaust they will sort that out as well.
