Adapting conventional speakers to use with a Bose system?

I have a chance to buy a Bose AV321 media center, but without any cables or speakers. Is it possible to adapt Non-Bose speakers to work with this system? Does anyone know any websites with instructions or adapter cables?

    You could get non-Bose speakers to work, but not well. Bose uses frequency compensation (equalization) to enhance the lack of response of their speakers. You would not be able to change that to adapt it to our new speakers.

    I wouldn't do it.
