  • 18650 battery pack question?

I have a battery for my Bluetooth speaker that has three leads, red, white, and black. I'm assuming that the red and black leads are positive and negative. Is the other lead likely a temperature sensor?

    Thanks

  • My iPhone 4S was bricked by iOS7?

I upgraded to iOS7. Immediately the phone was very slow. The phone was on charge for the night, but would not power on the next AM. I did multiple resets (pressing Home and Power) and finally the phone came on. It was very erratic and required multiple reboot and resets to finally reach a point where it was kind of stable. I realized, however, that the wireless no longer worked. I took it to the Apple store where I was told that this was a hardware problem and I would need a new phone ( $199.00 please). I pointed out that the phone was doing everything correctly before the update, but the guy just smiled politely. Does anyone know what to do with this? Is there a fix?

  • Can anyone please tell me the largest microSD card the HTC EVO 4G will support?

  • Can a mac mini output analog video?

I have a kiosk in my office that uses an older 7" flat TV for display. The only input it has is the old white/red/yellow analog input. Recently, the PC that came with the system died, and I thought I would use an old Mac Mini (1.42 powerpc) I have to do the display, but it has a DVI-I video output. Can the output be adapted to supply the yellow video output? I don't need the red or white since the kiosk doesn't have speakers.

  • Brother dcp-7040 jams?

Every time I try to print, there is a squealing sound from the front of the printer. The printer signals that there is no paper (there is). When I check the tray, there is always a piece of paper jammed under the separation roller about 1/4-1/2 inch.

    I would appreciate any suggestions

  • converting panasonic kx-tga200 to answer 4 lines?

I have a two line panasonic handset (kx-tga200), and recently got a compatible 4 line base. Interestingly, the "two line" handset shows the third and fourth line on its display when they ring, but of course there are no buttons to answer. Can this handset be converted to handle 4 lines?

    Thanks

  • air conditioner condenser coils leaking?

The outside unit for our house stopped working. The technician that came out said that the coils were leaking, and the entire outside unit would have to be replaced (over $2000). I asked if it wasn't possible to somehow replace just the coils, as the technician mentioned that everything else about the unit was working well. He insisted that this couldn't be done. Does anyone know if it is in fact possible and practical to replace the coils?

  • What tire sizes will fit on the standard steel wheels of a 2006 Scion Xa?

I have a 2006 Xa, and the stock size (185/60/15) is surprisingly expensive to replace. I have never changed tire sizes on my cars in the past, but I think it is justified in this case. What sizes will fit the standard steel wheels and not rub the fender wells?

  • Who actually makes car batteries?

I read today that only three companies actually make most of the batteries for cars. I spent quite some time looking, but could only find one for sure- Johnson Controls. By the way, no Die Hard does not make its own batteries- someone else does, but I can't really find out who.

Does anyone know who actually does the manufacturing?

Is there a site somewhere that lists who actually makes batteries for various companies?

  • Minolta copier problem?

I have a minolta di 351f. I cannot get the network to connect to it. When I try to ping the copier's network card (I have a static address set that is within the correct range for my switch and router) only rarely does the copier answer, usually it "times out" When I look at the network switch, the light over the place where the printer communicates with the switch blinks continually, day and night without regard to what we are doing with the copier. We cannot send print jobs over the network. The "network guy" from the copier company came over and said that the port on the switch was bad. However, no matter which port I plug the cable into, the light flickers continually. Also, whatever I plug into the "bad" ports works perfectly. In short, I don't think the switch is bad. I am almost completely a rookie about these things, but I am wondering if the network card in the copier is bad

    Would really appreciate any help.

  • Using a blackberry charger to charge a RAZR?

I got caught out of town and forgot the charger for my RAZR. A colleague has a blackberry and the plug fits perfectly. It looks like it should work, but I haven't had the guts to plug it in.

Anyone know if this will work?

  • Do you have to replace the processor if you replace the Motherboard?

I was told that my motherboard was bad and needed to be replaced. The computer still didn't work, and a different shop said that the processor should always be replaced at the same time as the motherboard, and that the proc now needed to be replaced.

Is this true? I suspect that the Motherboard was never bad, and that the proc was the problem the whole time.
