Kobe Bryant, top 10 or top 20 best ever?

Definately top 10...probably around 5 or 6 at this point.

I can't think of one legitimate reason for me to replace one of these guys with Kobe. Jordan would be the best possibility, but I'd have to wait and see what Kobe does the rest of his career.

I'd probably have him somewhere in the next 10 though.

You know I'm not big on "team accomplishments" when comparing players. Just the fact that Jerry West made it to 9 Championships says alot, considering he played against the greatest dynasty in history.

Kobe: 25.1 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 4.6 apg, 45% fg, 84% ft

West: 27 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 6.7 apg, 47% fg, 81% ft

Keep in mind that Kobe had the benefit of the 3 point line as well. Jerry West beats Kobe in every catagory, plus he was a much better defender. And, West could play the point or the '2' guard spot equally as well. Kobe's not a distributor.

It's tough to compare somebody who's retired to someone who still has years left. At this point, both West & Jordan have done more than Kobe.

I hate Kobe but how is West over Kobe? West was 1-8 During the NBA Finals. He even lost with 2 of your top 10...LMFAO!

BTW, West or Kobe isn't in my top 10. After this Finals Kobe has cracked my top 30 (thanks to the refs though).....
