Should I cancel the flight or just not show up?

I paid about $500 for a flight for two people. Due to a few circumstances, we're unable to go on the trip. Cancelation fees would amount to about $360. Does it make sense to cancel or just not show up for the flight?

Your call, but... If you just don't show up, the $500 is simply gone. If you cancel, from the info given it sounds like you should be able to use $140 of the value toward a future trip.

Try to work with your airline to cancel at a cheap fee so you don't waste a substantial amount of money. Most likely, you will be able to save money that you would have wasted by being a no-show for your flight.

Cancel and get a future credit!

Also, check for change fees. May-be less.

You will have ONE year since date of purchase to use the credit in your favour.

Just not show up, airlines tend to overbook anyway so your seats will be taken more then likley, well cheep airlines like Easyjet over book haha
