Yes I am picking up lil tumbleweeds of hair for 2 wks. now. They have short super dense coat. Using a universal slicker brush for routine brushing & a coat king to help with the shedding. Furminator don't work well in their thick coats. Getting a professional grooming where they blow out the coat helps a lot too.
Do a lot of research before getting a shiba - they are not an easy breed to handle for most ppl.

yeah, they do. So they're not hypoallergenic or anything.
But, they're good dogs, and very sweet too.
Most dogs close to the shiba inu breeds shed a lot.

Yes, they have a double coat like the rest of the dogs in their group.
I've heard from some shiba inu onwers that the furminator works well.
