Does it bother you when your partner drinks?

hanging out with people who are drunk when you are sober is generally annoying. it's just the difference between sober and inebriated. my guy hardly ever drinks, like once every 2 months, and then it's 2 beers. i haven't even seen him drunk in about 5 or 6 years.

if it bothers you bring a friend to be sober with or just don't hang out with him when he's drinking.

It doesn't bother me when he drinks because he knows his limits. He stops when it's appropriate, and he never drives while drunk. As long as your guy knows when to quit, it shouldn't be an issue. Drinking can be a stress reliever.

I am the kind of person who will drink it if it's there, but if all of the alcohol disappeared from the face of the earth, I would be okay with that. I don't need it, I don't care if I have it, and aside from the taxation issue, I think it would solve a lot of problems. So what annoys me is when people who drink think that they NEED to do it, that they can't have fun without it. I'm perfectly capable of having a good time without any alcohol, and when others prefer to have it, it does kind of annoy me.

I don't drink alot because growing up my father was an alcoholic and it tore our family apart. My boyfriend drinks but does so in moderation - he'll have one a couple nights a week after work but he never really gets drunk so it doesn't bother me. But I think the feeling is normal.

sometimes a drunk person can really annoy a sober person. that is normal. have you tried to talk to your bf about this? maybe he could just drink when he is out with his friends.

I totally agree. I drink one or two occasionally, but if my hubby drinks and I don't he just gets on my nerves. When you are sober you just notice every dumb thing the person drinking is doing or saying. It's like the giddyness gets under

If his drinking is a problem, consider an intervention by visiting alcoholics anonymous with him.

If his drinking is infrequent, you're probably intolerant.

I didn't used to care that he drank...back before February.

Now it bothers me because he was laid off in February and has been drinking EVERY day. So, not only is he turning himself in to an alcoholic, he's also spending money without making any.

I'm am glad to have found someone who feels the way I do.

Non-drinkers usually do not like drunks.Only a drunk likes a drunk, or something like that.
