Is the college course elementary spanish worth taking?

Im going into the medical feild and i want to take up a spanish course before i graduate next year...long story short i dont know any spanish and i wanted to take up elementary spanish to help me out a little

    take it its aways better to know 2 languages instead of one

    and then spanish i mean come on its a good one to learn
