If we understand that obstacles are part of the spiritual path, we can learn from them. Obstacles can be messages, signals that we need to wake up and look at what is going on.
There are outer, inner, and secret obstacles. An outer obstacle is anything in the external world that distracts us from our development as a practitioner.
Obstacles on the inner level have to do with our practice. The most common inner obstacle is concept which sway us from the path.If we become possessed by anger, vindictiveness, jealousy, ambition, or desire, our progress will be hindered.
Obstacles on the secret level have to do with view. If our mind is seized by doubt it is difficult to practice, and even when we do meditate we are not going to make any progress.
On every level, the basic antidote is mindfulness, practice, awareness, and certainty in the view.Practicing regularly, cultivating peace and loving-kindness, and renewing our inspiration are the key elements in working with obstacles

I still do not understand what "spiritual" means. It would help me if I could know whether this word is used in Sanskrit or in another language like Persian. I do not know why we should be spiritual.
Maybe because I see "spiritual" as just an adjective from 'spirit" and that spirit for me is just "breath". Then it is all part of our personality in equal terms with flesh and bones.
So, we have this energy, just as we have blood, lymph, etc. to live. We live. We see obstacles. At the time of the obstacle, we do what we have to do ACCORDING TO THE OBSTACLE.
The main thing is to go on living. And feeling our lives with the best things possible.
This way, no one is more spiritual than any other. Everyone is doing what one can, when and how one can, with the energy alloted to each.
We are our own wisdom: small or great. according to the circumstances around each and everyone of us.
If we wait for the voice of wisdom... we might wait for a long time.
If we recognize our own wisdom, then we are free and we grow.

Obstacles in a spiritual path. Hmm. I think that this type of obstacles can be overcome by understanding them. I've had some of these, I've had quandries where I believed one thing but then couldn't apply it to a real situation. It required me to change my mind about some things, to accept some other things, to give up certain ideas in favor of new ones. A new understanding, seeing something in a different light, letting go of old thinking habits, eventually allowed me to not overcome so much as embrace the obstacle and integrate the issue deeper into my spiritual views.

I've no idea which obstacles you're facing. Spiritually it's a bit like this for me anyway. Whatever you're facing you keep the attention on God and your spirit.
Like a mother preparing food whilst holding her baby on her hip. She's completely with her baby, yet in a detached way she is seeing to the things around her.
If there are things to forgive, forgive them. Remember that no matter how it may seem the spirit is stronger than the obstacle.
Then I'd say your spiritual path has prayers all along it. Use those as well.
hugs.

It depends on the obstacle. I'm not a person who resorts to one plan.
1. If I can avoid the obstacle, that is my first choice.
2. If the obstacle is unavoidable, but needs no attention from me, then I look for a way around it.
3. If the obstacle is my fault, I try to attack the obstacle head on.
4. If the obstacle is too hard, I look for guidance and help from others.

Chuckle, I'm not sure wisdom is what I've got. My way, well you couldn't call it spiritual. Calling it anything is, in fact, a misdirection.
It seems best to be aware, alive, here in the moment. It seems I am not the endless stream of my thoughts, or tides of my own emotions, but the conscious that is aware of these things.
What are the possible hurtles to overcome in such an endeavor? There is no struggle, only an attempt to understand, to be honest, to let go of what was once comfortable. When I am at an impasse, I let it be, accepting that there may be no answer. There is no set goal in mind. What I learn is my new goal each day.

Wisdom????
My 2 cents
Obstacles on any level..are just part of life... part of the journey
The old school..."nothing easy is worth doing"
and
The obstacles we face and the mistakes we make....
Are what define us in the long run.
Easy success is merely luck...them that's got the luck are more
lucky than anything else
and personally....I like to climb up onto the obstacles in my path
sit on them and meditate a little bit
Then you can decide if you need to chop, saw, burn down,
smash with a sledge hammer......
....or just consider them part of the landscape
they add character to it
and make the journey interesting

Obstacles are very common in spiritual path. If such obstacles are not properly handled during our spiritual progress, we cannot know our level of progress in spiritual path. It is just to try our patience, it is just to make us morally strong and determined. If one is not facing obstacles, then we can be sure that we are not in spiritual line.

An obstacle is what you make of it. Fear for example is the greatest of all obstacles. Resist and it becomes stronger, ignore it and it will keep popping up everywhere. What you tell yourself about your obstacle is in fact what it will be. Gaining the knowledge of the obstacle makes you stronger, practicing the knowledge bring froth wisdom into becoming master of life.

I find your questions hard to answer sometimes. I'm going to say that I do not find obstacles. I seriously don't.
