1996 jimmy transfer case?

how do i put fluid in the transfer case ...replaced the transmission and was wondering if i put the fluid in the tranny and start it up and let it run will it put the fluid in the transfer case or i have to put it in ? please help

    No, fluid from the transmission should NOT go into the transfer case.

    In the back of the transfer case there are 2 plugs one higher than the other, remove the top plug, fluid should be level with the hole, if it drips out that means it's full.. If low, fill until it drips...

    If I remember correctly the fluid type for that year T/Case was

    DEXRON 3 (transmission fluid)
