Have you seen the movie "Blood Diamonds" yet? Perhaps a good idea before you go diamond shopping. My ring is over 2 carats and I didn't know diddly swat about blood diamonds when we got it. But now that I know what I know, I'd get one from Canada or perhaps Australia or some other conflict free diamond. Or another gem entirely.

Because Africa doesn't provide as good working conditions as Canada provides for their diamond mine employees. At least that's what we are told.

Diamonds are way overpriced for everyone. The Dab ear's and others, keep the price propped up artificially. You know diamonds aren't really rare, every women has one or even 2 or 3.

To my way of thinking diamonds are a waste of good money. Unfortunately my wife doesn't agree.

Probably to do with the trade in conflict diamonds.
