It wont be a bolt-in swap but, it will fit. Anything will fit with the right amount of determination and money.

Measure the width, although I have never seen a 3/4 ton rear with only a 6 lug pattern. And yes I fool with alot of 3/4 and 1 ton trucks

sounds tooooo big. gear ratio dont have much to do with it. when u replace u hav to look at all of the brackets and U bolts. i recently replaces a rearend from a 89 astro to a 95 astro and i went from single spin axle to a locker and there was a lot of difference even tho the to are identical in almost every aspect. compare all the brackets, U bolts, leaf spring matchup, a any thing else you can think of. good luck.
