does anyone else besides Khamenei think there was no voting fraud? assuming he had nothing to do....?
with the fraud like his son did!
with all the influence Ahmadinejad has in the govt ie; Khamenei himself. and the golden fist Sepah, etc. he most likely would have won however not by such a margin; by 11 million votes!! i guess they wanted to show that he is very popular! Evidence is mounting that there has been some big fraud involved. There have been claims that in many cities the number of votes exceeded the eligible voters by as much as 40%. could this explain for the majority of 11 million votes? did they really think that they can get away with that?! did they just stop counting when they realized that Ahmadinejad was ahead by 11 million votes?! there were many votes that were not counted ie; votes from people outside the country! why did they rush into announcing the results?!
According to the law, the Electoral Commission is to wait for three days before certifying the results of the election. The candidates can file complaints outlining specifics of the irregularities to the Guardians. one vote here and one vote there; it can add up! no one can deny the fact that the Sepah or the IRGC and it's golden fist and the missing oil dollars that could be as high as $46 billion can buy many votes! right?

I watched their Friday Prayer meeting, where Khomeini emphasized the glories of the Great Democratic Election. I noted that there was not one woman attending that gathering, simply an assortment of men, all hooting and hollering in favor of the President.
There is no doubt the election was rigged. We had the same situation in the famous Oops! Election of 2004, to say nothing of 2000. This went on until the last Election, when there were so many votes they couldn't purge them all. I have often thought of how much better off....and richer...we would be if Al Gore had been the Supreme Court choice, which he would have been if it had been a Democratic majority instead of Republican.
Because those in authority always have control of the Military and the Police, there is little hope that the Iranian dissidents will win, or even cause a second Election. Unfortunately, it is difficult for unarmed groups to win against armed authority. It is difficult to force judges to make choices that will not align themselves with people in power. It is difficult to fight the establishment.
I wish them well. I hope and pray that they make a difference and that Iran becomes the country it could be if that stiff, authorative cleric were booted out, along with that nutty, arrogant President. Unfortunately, that rarely happens...just as it didn't happen in China, when the young people made a courageous effort to bring about change.

I don't know whether there is truth about the lies or not. One aspect of this election is the similarity to so many others where it turned out the CIA was causing the problems. You know the US has been hurting Iran for many decades so it would be very unlikely they didn't have a had in this election.
The outcome of this election was not a surprise according to the pre-election polls.
It's funny to note the furor in the states as a backlash to voting fraud in Iran. The flaws in Bush's campaign have yet to be properly assessed and investigated. Americans should clean up their own back yard before making extreme allegations about Iran who basically seem to have followed America's interests.
As for women's rights the Iranians are following a strict code in Islam. It is certainly not a reason for Americans to decide upon. But, what if our hard line Christians here were in charge?
"Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence."
~1 Timothy 2:11-12
"Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says."
~1 Corinthians 14:34
Myself, I believe in woman's rights and I would battle any religious group who wanted to take those hard won rights away. However, in many parts of the Middle East that believe and follow a strict code of religious law there will be no appreciation for the wont of women.

good question; I can't say if that was fraud or not. government claims the candidates have not provided detailed proof for the fraud they are talking about (partly true unfortunately). thousands have checked the stats published and have found serious issues like those which you mentioned. on the other hand, the government fails to explain about these claims and suspicious issues, and keeps accusing the protesters or ignoring them. I don't know if it was rigged or not. I'm sick of the way they defend themselves and the results. when they don't provide explanations they should expect someone like me to think there is no explanation and it was rigged. even if Ahmadinejad is right and has really won the race, he is the one to be blamed for all the mess; he has not tried to answer the protest rationally; he raises more and more questions.

Look, if Fraud and Corruption exists within Good Ole USA, what makes any one think it will not exist elsewhere.
You gotta face the facts that it is our dollars that are always missing everywhere first at the thought of a coup..
Now if US can us Force to Quell a Protest, deadly force if necessary - why can't a Legitimate Government elsewhere do the same.
On that note, if Iranian Government is not a Legit - says who..
Source(s): If any thing. the US should back whats his face - Koeli or whats his face to secure OPEC - before BRIC gets a grip and starts pumping... - Anonymous5 years ago
I voted for McCain against my greater desirable judgement out of a sort of white guilt. I knew McCain could have only saved the comparable previous interest goning longer and that i did no longer prefer that yet out of a feeling of guilt to different whites I vote for McCain. because of the fact the main elections are between 2 events in fact i attempt to vote for the guy who will do the worst job so the gadget will crumple. so in that understand i'm greater desirable than happy that Obama gained. he's gonna carry it down around him and end off what Bush began.

He knows damn well there was election fraud. Just like the GOP knew that election fraud happened in the 2000 election.
Fraud is fraud. Those who commit it and those who lie and try to sweep it under the rug need to be crushed under the shoes of the people.

It's the Iranians' problem, not ours. Our election was corrupt too. They didn't let thousands of military abroad vote in our election. Of all the Americans, they should be able to vote before us.
The people those punks running around the streets and Twittering are supporting are original members who staged the coup in 1979. They're not good guys.

All these hype is just nonesense and worthless. It doesn't matter who really won the election. Eitherway they are both sides of the same coin when it comes to the nuclear issue.
