I need input on picking out a new grill?

I have been socking money away to do something real special for my husband on Father's Day. I am looking at this grill:

Can you tell me what you think the pros and cons may be. He loves to Charcoal Grill when cooking steaks but sometimes we just want the convenience of gas. This grill has a Natural gas conversion kit with it also as we are building an outdoor kitchen and the gas pipe is already ran.

$1200 seems like a lot for a grill. But if you buy the components separately it costs a lot more. THis concerned me that I may be buy a grill that looks real nice but falls apart in one year. I would like to hear your thoughts.

Since you love charcoal but like the convience of gas grills, The Weber Performer Grill is a terrific option. I am saving up to buy one right now. It is charcoal, but has a gas ignition to start the charcoals. No more fluid starter! And since its weber, it will last you at least 20 years if you cover it and take care of it. Here is the link. You can find them at most Home Depot stores also.

If you're looking for a grill that will last, shop for an american made product. Brands like Fire Magic and American Outdoor Grill make stainless steel grills specifically for outdoor kitchens in natural gas or propane. Prices range from about $1100 to over $5000 depending on what size and what features you are interested in. The more expensive Fire Magic allows you to cook with Charcoal or gas - http://www.grillsandlogs.com/index.asp?P...

Or in an aluminum head grill, take a look at Modern Home Products Chef's Choice line....http://www.grillsandlogs.com/index.asp?P...
