  • Road Trip: Las Vegas to Yosemite?

We are looking at taking a trip. We got a 31 foot Toy Hauler with a F350 Diesel Dually. I mention the vehicle because we are 53 feet long / can sleep roadside / Not exactly the maneuverability of a Mini Cooper. We live in Vegas and want to get out of the summer heat and enjoy the pines, some fishing, hiking and site seeing. We've done this before in Yellowstone, Alaska, Southern Utah and Northern AZ. Just to name a few.

What is the best way to get to Yosemite from Vegas? Take in consideration roads, traffic, places to see, etc. What can I expect for a Late July Trip? Got a 15 and 12 year old and two Labradors. Want to make this a 7-10 day trip. If needed can leave the pooches at home.

  • Zion or Bryce National Park?

I am camping about an hour from Bryce and 2 hours from Zion. Its never just camping with my husband and 2 boys. Its got to be hunting /fishing/atvs/ to the extreme. But we also have my Cousin, wife and to young boys (3 and 5) with us on this trip. They are not used to the outdoors or the fast pace we do. I want everybody to have fun and hit one of these parks while we are out. We are currently at Panguitch Lake and my boys are bummed because the fishing is unusually terrible.

What would you reccomend and why please?

  • PS3 controller charging problems?

We never had problems before... but just recently, it seems that all 4 of our PS3 controllers will not take a charge. There are no cuts in the USB cord. All of the controllers are at a point that they will not even turn on. Any suggestions???

  • I need input on picking out a new grill?

I have been socking money away to do something real special for my husband on Father's Day. I am looking at this grill:

    http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=pr...

Can you tell me what you think the pros and cons may be. He loves to Charcoal Grill when cooking steaks but sometimes we just want the convenience of gas. This grill has a Natural gas conversion kit with it also as we are building an outdoor kitchen and the gas pipe is already ran.

$1200 seems like a lot for a grill. But if you buy the components separately it costs a lot more. THis concerned me that I may be buy a grill that looks real nice but falls apart in one year. I would like to hear your thoughts.

  • New quad for 10 year old?

Quad suggestions for 10 year old?

My son has been riding a Polaris Predator 90 for the past four years. (Before that a Husky 50 for 2 years). So he is pretty experienced.

Nonetheless, he is still relatively cautious and I don't expect him to be racing the supercross anytime soon.

I am looking for a quad that will last him until he can afford his own. I was thinking of a Raptor 250.

Like I said he is an intermediate rider. He's a big kid (5' tall/100lbs.) He has all of the gear - so lets not get greenpeace lecturing me on giving my kid a 50 cc bike because of some sticker on the back fender. Also please don't give me a hard time due to this being a quad question in a mx category.

  • Why is Washington DC included in the Southeast Region of the US?

Trying to help my 4th grade son with his homework and having a heck of a time even trying to find out where to look. Please include source with the answer, so I can make him search and research instead of just giving him the answer.

  • Name our new bird dog (Labrador)?

Recently my husband had to put his hunting buddy down. After many years of good hunting, the lab (Ruger) got old and just became a couch potato. My husband pretty much stopped hunting because he didn't have his dog and couldn't stand leaving Ruger behind.

It's been about a year. I found some lab pups that have championship bloodlines (the dad is a field trial national champ).

It's a black lab. I would like to have some suggested names ready when I surprise him this weekend. Papered names and/or cool/humorous names.

    Thanks for your help!

  • LCD Flat Panel TV - $1000 budget (give or take)?

Income tax refund! I am looking to surprise my husband with a new TV. I went to Best Buy and was happy to have seen the prices go down.

But I seen 32" that ranged from 500-1500 on up to 50" that ranged from 1000-4000. I would like to get the largest possible as we have very big family room. So I would like to hear some personal experience instead of the kid that is trying to sell me all of those extended warranties.

BTW - we have a nice projector. But with this new house it is not feasible with all of the natural light.

    Thanks!!!

  • Changing Homeowners Association By-Laws?

I am new to the neighborhood and find out that they do not allow RV Parking, even through I just bought a house all set up, with an RV Parking area. The backyard (side yard) is large enough. However, in the rules they say you can park an RV on the street - but it can't stay in the same place for 24 hours. So everybody just moves their RV every 23 hours.

Personally, I do not like seeing the RVs on the street - but its not like they are junk. I am not out to change that.

Its a samll association and a small tract.I am confident that I could organize enough of the neighbors to get a majority of signatures to allow RV Parking in the homes that have RV access.

Does Majority Rule in these HOAs? And are there more than just By-laws; A constitution if you will that isn't on the little 12 page booklet I got with the house?

  • Who should I start: Warner or Rodgers?

Match Up Cardinals are underdogs to the Cowboys but the Cowboys D-Backfield is banged up.

On the flip side - Seattle is terrible this year. But Rodgers is a little banged up. Who would you start

    Thanks ;)

  • Why can't Republicans say N-U-C-L-E-A-R?

First Dan Quayle couldn't spell and zero common sense. Then we had to listen to Dubya butcher the English Language for 8 years. God Help us if we have to listen to Palin doing her best Edith Bunker imitation for even one term.

  • Which type/brand camera do you recommend?

I have been shooting wildlife with a regular Sony 8.1 mp digital camera and have taken some great pictures. Now that photography is becoming a big part of my life (tracking those precious moments) I need to step up. My big challenge currently is shooting high speed in poor light (My family competes in martial arts tournaments) and my little Sony Camera is not cutting it. I am looking for a camera that can handle the low light/fast speed but also is adaptable for the great outdoors. I got a budget of $1,000 or less - what do you recommend?

  • Back to Traditional Grilling... Need help?

A long time ago, we switched to a gas grill - which later was replaced with a George Foreman Grill. I went full circle and got a Weber charcoal grill. The Taste is so much better!!! Anyways, I need some help... first, how do I control the heat. I like getting the grill very hot for good steaks but the flames go out of control. When I use spray water, I end up cooling the coals to much. Secondly, what are the vent for on a weber. I have one on the bottom one on the top.

  • Denali Alaska - Where do I stay without costing a fortune?

My Husband has a 2 day business trip in Anchorage and then we have 5 days to vacation. We wanted to get out of the City. Thanks to yahoo answers - we have decided to rent a car and go to Denali. A premium hotel is not as important because we do not plan on too much time in the room. Does anybody know of any reasonable hotels/motels.
