You can blame money grabber Ecclestone - he pulls his puppet's (Mosley's) strings.
Mosley is not intelligent enough to run F1 - he'd rather be with his Nazi dressed hookers

It's done-stick a fork in it. The constructors can't be bothered to be in a series where they don't have any input into how it is run. Just look at how there is no race in North America despite the fact it is the #1 market for cars in the world. How many cars a year are sold in places like Bahrain or Singapore? The constructors want it to be "win on Sunday, sell on Monday" as much as possible which means minimal technical limitations. In F1 they are running what?..800 horses or so. Back in the 1970s the Can-Am series had cars running over 1000 horses and CART was about the same in it's heyday, so F1 isn't necessarily the best racing there can be. A Can-Am car would have driven circles around a F1 car of it's day.

If the FOTA teams do breakaway from F1 then unfortunately the answer to your question is YES Formula 1 is indeed ruined...
It's so sad because their is so much History in F1... Just thinking of the Legendary drivers and Teams throughout the years...
Whatever anybody says Formula 1 is a marquee name and without that marquee it just wont be the same...
Just like F1 without Ferrari and Manufacturers would not be the same...
Por Favor senor Mosley swallow that pride...

What is happening in F1 is very sad ~ we need someone to unite the F1 teams ~ Max and Bernie are just ripping F1 apart ~ Also I hope this is not the last race at Silverstone ~ Donington is great for bike racing ~ but not for F1 ~

It is completely, totally and utterly destroyed beyond any hope of resurrection. Even with a cash injection from the governments' bottomless lame duck recovery fund.
Unless that is a kind member of parliament finances all teams on his own personal expenses - then it can't fail to continue exactly as was before.

yes, before the rules that were brought in by the FIA F1 was an admirable and a sport with a quick turn of events, now its so obvious who's going to win because of stupid limitations made by the FIA. this isnt F1 anymore, what type of motorsport makes you reduce the speed of your car???

They need to do something to enhance the racing experience and make it more even. I don't usually follow it because most of the time it's just boring watching them run around like they are in a practice session. They need to fix this series and quick !!

It's unlikely to happen (I hope). I think this is a monumental spat, and they all need their heads banging together, but it will be sorted out, eventually. And my money is on them being at Silverstone again next year too.

As a casual observer, I think it was much more exciting last year, watching the new kid on the block take on Ferrari and win it in the last 30 seconds of the whole season! Could you script that?
This year has passed me by - that guy with the bumfluff winning evey race cos of some Gizmo no-one understands! Even him!?!
