No maternity coverage?

Has anyone ever used one of those "maternity discount" plans or cards to pay for an uninsured pregnancy? If so did they REALLY help? or are they a rip off? And if they DO help.. which one would you suggest? Thanks!!

Update:

Make too much for medicaid and apparantly that AIM plan is only in Cali.

I signed up for one of those. I couldn't find a doctor that had ever even heard of it. I complained and got my money back!

  • I got my pregnancy covered by AIM (access for infants and mothers). I got EVERYTHING covered. What would of been more than 30k because I chose the best hospital and had all meds and visits covered turned out to be $700. They gave us the opportunity to pay that $700 within a year. I didn't qualify for medicaid because we made too much but AIM is for people who make more but don't exceed certain quantity. The plan is government funded just like medicaid or medical here in Cal.

Ive never used one, and havent heard anything about them. If you have no coverage try applying for Medicaid at your human resourses office. you may qualify and then it wont cost you anything.
