Usually the effects last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your method of ingestion/smoking. As for how long it stays in your system, there can sometimes be a residual "floaty" feeling for an hour after.

If you're worrying about drug tests, don't. There are no drug tests for salvia. It's legal in most places anyway.
