How many weeks do you have to be before they do your first scan?

i have same probs as you, i got pregnant just before the ivf was meant to start i found out when i was 4wks and got a early scan at 6wks ive since had another at 10wks i think they normally scan at 12wks and then at 20wks but your gp will arrange it all im 21wks now and going for another scan this wk to make sure all is ok, good luck hun x

Its a very anxious time and I know exactly how you feel. My symptoms tended to be on and off - I didnt really suffer with sickness just sore boobs. I had a miscarriage in July and fell pregnant quickly afterwards and Im now nearly 19 weeks pregnant. I dont think you will relax until you hold your baby in your arms. I didnt have my 12 week scan until I was nearly 14 1/2 which was annoying when I had suffered with a miscarriage and wanted reassurance. I just try to keep positive and just think if I lose the baby there is nothing I can do to stop it. Im sure you will be fine. Once you do get to see a midwife she will give you reassurance. 3 weeks on the clear blue tst means 3+ weeks since conception so you are more likley to be almost 2 months pregnant when i took my test it said 1-2 weeks since conceptions and that mademe 4 weeks pregnanti think they will give you an early scan as you are at risk if you have endo. Everything will be fine though hun Congratulations! x

fisrt one is genrally 12 weeks

but if they an you have no idea when your last period would have been then you will prob have it earlier, they will give you a dating scan

well they gave me one, this was about a week after seeing the doctor, i was 9 weeks

this is uk btw, the genral scans for a pregnancy here is 12 weeks and 20 weeks, dont know where ya from sorry

in the UK they usually do a scan between 12-16 weeks and then 20weeks. any other scans are dependant on your pregnancy...i getr scanned every 2 weeks due to complications (i was told i would never carry a baby to term that i would hav etopic pregnancies).

They should do a scan at your very first appointment for dating purposes regardless of how far along you are, especially because you don't know when your last period was. Congratulations!!

I went for my first scan at 8 weeks, i saw a little blob with a heart beat, was amazing!! haha then i went again at 11 weeks and i saw her/him sucking its thumb, saw the eyes, nose and all was amazing! even counted toes!! :) Good luck!

if you have problems, they usually do scans constantly but if not than 18-22 weeks... i was given a scan immediately to find out how far along i was

the 1st one is shortly after you go to the doctor to see if youre actually pregnant. That will declare how far a long you are.
