the end of my secound week dieting is almost here and i have lost less weight?

i remember a doctor telling me the 2nd week is the week you lose less weight as the body is trying to control your metabolism by using everything you eat without starving the body. is this truth?

he also told me me from week 3 and 4 the weight lose should be more noticeable as the body is obligated to use more stored fat

Yes but after the first week like your doctor said, it slows down to evenly lose fat and distribute whats left. Its a slow process but one that is very awarding. It might be a long battle (almost 5 months so far for me!) but it is worth it

Slimmers World and Weight Watchers are both totaly rubbish diets designed to keep you perpetually having to be on a diet. If you are following either plan then that's why. Weight Watchers is the most successful failed business ever - they have a 97% failure rate. The most common mistakes people make on either of these plans is eating low fat low calorie foods which are not only unsatisfying but also full of sugar and eating too much carbohydrate in the form of pasta, jacket potatoes. They want you to lose weight as slowly as possible so that you keep going to their meetings but as soon as you stop being as disciplined you will put on weight and will end up fatter than before. I see people every day in my practice who are failing to lose weight and they are all following something along the lines of these two.

You would do much better following either the Patrick Holford Low GL Diet or The Atkins Diet (as long as you actually read the book and then follow the instructions to the letter which very few people ever seem to do).

most early weight loss will be water fat loss is a lot slower but much more obvious also be aware women are designed to store fat and have more fat cells than men to begin with fat burning will not speed up as such without muscle gain. Add some small weights to your routine and if you can eat little and often do so as this will maintain your metabolic rate. The whole process takes time and patience wil be rewarded with progress

Over and over again research has shown that crash dieting is not the way to lose weight. In the end you gain more weight. People who diet end up weighing more than people who stick to their usual routine.

Certainly you should not expect to lose weight over 1-2 weeks! Are you sure this is a real "doctor" you are talking to?

Weight loss should happen slowly over a matter of months to a year and is best accomplished by eating less, more healthily, and starting a gradual, realistic exercise routine (this is from the evidence, not my opinion).
