What is a Patron library assigned block?

I just happened to check my library account for the first time in a long time (at least a year) and saw this under blocks.

Assuming other libraries have these:

What does it mean? Do I have to do anything about it?

Update:

No fines show up in the "Fines & Fees" section of my account and I never returned a book late or anything...

I may contact my library

    Do contact your library.

It may be something as simple as needing to verify that your contact information is current. I know at least one system periodically adds blocks to patron accounts for this very reason.

you may have an outstanding fine, so your library has put a block on your account until you pay off the fine. I would talk to your library because they would definitely know what it means.
