No, but you should. If you wait for them to learn it and file, you could be charged for all court and attorney fees for the modification, which would eat up any saving from not reporting.

If you want to learn how to do all this go to Dads House in Yahoo Groups. When you join, you’ll receive a link to an educational manual that will teach you what you need to know. Take the time to learn what you can and should do.

    No. Read your support order.

In most states, you can go back to court to have the child support order modified if there has been a "substantial" change in circumstances.

If your assumption is true, then the non-custodial parent would also have to report any decreases in his income.

Depends on your state, and if there is a child support order. BUT YES, generally they do have to. Say they get married--YOU now get % of both incomes. For more information you can call your child support devision in your county court house. They have plenty of information. Or you can call lawyers that work with your income. Ther is one in Waukegan IL. Called Prarie Legal-They can probably give you another agency like theirs, closer to where you live, if you do not reside in Illinois. Some of those lawyers travel and have "other" state licenses also. Best bet is to check with the agencies I have provided for you. Good luck!

Yes, the non-custodial is suppose to report this and the custodial parent is also suppose to report changes to his/her income.

In New York for one child it's 17% of your pay. So.... if there is an increase, yes.
