Getting ink stains out of a dryer?
A pen exploded in our dryer a few days ago and everything I have tried has not worked.
Is there an easily accessible product out there that would be good for this? Any suggestions are welcome
That is what I am thinking about doing, as nothing I have tried has worked.. I figure that the ink must be so dry that it wont even get on the clothes

Try Goof-off. It dissolves all kinds of stuff, but I'm not too sure about ink. However, if the ink is dry, I'm not too certain it will be a problem for you. We've had that happen a couple times in the 13 years we've had our dryer, and there are ink and other stains all over the drum, but once it's dried, it never gets on the clothes. You might not need to do anything at all. Good luck and God Bless!!

I recommend you do NOT use Goof-Off - read the label, I am almost certain it's flammable.
I had the exploding pen thing happen to me once although maybe not on as grand a scale as your experience. What worked, and yes it was a pain, was to squirt a bit of Soft Scrub with Bleach on a dampened piece of old towel and scrubbed the dryer drum til the ink came off. I kept a bucket of warm water nearby and kept rinsing out the towel. Once I was finished I wiped out the inside of the drum with a clean damp cloth.
This is a cheap and safe solution. Just be prepared to be in an awkward kneeling position for 15-20 minutes.
Another thing you might try is one of those Magic Erasers that they sell in the cleaning aisle at the grocery (dampen it first). I've never used one to clean dried ink but I've seen them work wonders on stuff off like burnt-on oven gunk. There again, a safe (although unproven) solution.
