With the Billions of Dollars in Stimulus money, How much was to go to the Metro-Rail System in D.C.?
It's tragic that so many people had to die from the aging Metro System in D.C. I'm just curious, How much of the Stimulus money was designated for the Metro? I imagine there will be more money poured into this system now that lives have been lost, what do yo think?

$17.7 million has already been allocated to track improvements, chemical detection systems, fare machine upgrades and a new Metro sales center.
This is a drop in the bucket for Metro’s stimulus expectations. A full $200 million was initially dedicated to public transportation improvements in DC. Applications for the remaining funds are currently being reviewed and finalized.
