What is there to do in New Zealand for the First Timer?
We have the opportunity and a good rate to travel there, but none of the folks in my group are that familiar with the country. We love beaches and snorkeling, and like to be as non "touristy" as we can. Thanks!

Spend the majority of time on the south island, its the best part! :) There you'll see the true kiwi hospitality and attitude that has been lost in the north island. Avoid queenstown if you don't want to do touristy things. Spend a bit of time in the north island as well, especially wellington and anywhere above Auckland. Take your time exploring and take in everything around you. It truly is paradise!
