Where is a cheap place to rent in the portland, Oregon area?
My wedding is in a little over a year, and we need to book a place for the ceremony/reception. We want to stay in the Portland metro area. The farthest away, would be Corvallis or Bend. I'm looking for a place that does both ceremony and reception but won't cost too much. My ideal would be under 1000. If you know of any places, that will be greatly appreciated!
We are having some alcohol and definitely dancing. As for people, probably about 100-150. I want the ceremony outside and the reception inside/outside.

I like this park a lot, and if you go to the original site you can see other parks you can rent (if you want an outdoor wedding). Also, check out the knot.com and brides.com, they have extensive venue lists. Good luck!

I just stayed in Portland and as far as hotels/motels go, you get what you pay for... so if you don't want to spend much then be prepared to stay at a crappy hotel and in possibly a more loud party neighborhood. I noticed a super cheap place was called the Jupiter Hotel, its sort of along the lines of a hostel / motel ... apparently theres a big party scene that goes late into the night, but its definitely on the cheaper side of motels in the area. Also, its across the bridge from downtown...

How many people are you having? Are you having alcohol or dancing? You need to give some parameters in order to get helpful answers.
If there's no dancing, Leach Botanical Garden is really nice.
Definitely check the Portland Parks sites.
Otherwise you should check the Bravo Guide bravoweddings dot com
