Origin of Satan-- Serious answers please. No Athiest Comments.?

I was wondering if there was a specific portion in the Bible that talks about how Hell came into creation and how Satan became. I know that he was a fallen angel, but is there a story with more detail?

Sources or specific pages in the Bible would be great.

Thanks.

Muldah has give you the most condensed verses that tell Lucifer/Satan's story (Isaiah 14:4-20, Ezekiel 28:11-19). God created him a good, perfect, beautiful, powerful and wise angel (archangel). But he corrupted his own thinking.

However, the part of your question on hell is NOT biblical. No place like the popular myth of hell ever existed. It is fully an invention of men and not of God; and it has no substance. Satan does not live in hell, he lives on the earth (Job 1:7) -- which was given to him to rule over (Luke 4:5-6).

Many of the original language words that were incorrectly translated 'hell' should have been translated 'grave' or 'place of the dead'. It is not a place of 'souls' wondering around or waiting for judgement. Nor is it a place of fire or torment. For the Bible reveals that the dead cannot feel pain or know torment (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, 12:7 Isaiah 38:18, Psalms 6:5, 115:17).

People who try to find biblical support for their myth on hell, have corrupted the Bible's descriptions of the Lake of Fire, which is the place where the incorrigible wicked will be fully destroyed. And the only torment will only last until the destruction of the wicked is complete and they exist no longer.

There isn't anything like that in the bible. Satan is just a word that means 'adversary'. And it's the adversary of man, not god. So this whole fallen angel that became the ultimate evil thing really is just some borrowed mistranslations and representations from other gods of different regions. His image is actually modeled after Pan, a Roman god.

Muldah: The first bit of scripture you quote does not say anything about it being about Satan at all. The second part is in reference to a Babylonian king, who's name in Latin is Lucifer. So, nothing you have provided has anything to do with Satan. Same with the guy below me.

    Satan was an angel before

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Isaiah 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isaiah 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

and because of his rebelliousness he falls in heaven

Here's the best answer I can think of. By Job 1:6-7 we understand "Satan also was present among them." Them being the sons of God who had come that day to stand before the Lord. It is also evident he has been cast out of heaven at this time, since God said "Whence comest thou?" and is answered "I have gone round about the earth, and walked through it."

We furthermore understand by Isaias 14:9-15 that Satan was cast into "Hell below" and it "stirrup up the giants for" him. It says his "pride is brought down to hell:" his "carcass is fallen down." It even uses Lucifer. This would come into line with the belief that Hell was created the moment he was cast out of Heaven, for there would be no need for it before then.

In 2 Corinthians 11:3 St. Paul says he is "afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ."

And finally, to me all that is needed further, is Christ himself who says in John 8:44: "He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

But if you need some further reference before NT: Daniel 12:2 states interestingly enough: Many of those who sleep in the dusty ground will awake – some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting abhorrence, to see it always.

In Revelations, which is a book that interprets quite often the times we always experience, whether during the reign of Nero, Napoleon, or Bush, Revelations 20:10 states that Hell has been created for Satan and his devils.

Interesting still, in Greek and Hebrew translations, even dating back towards the Koine, the words for Hades and Gehenna(which ALWAYS indicates a place of torment) are used, just as Storge, Philia and Agape are used by Christ when asking Peter if he loved him.

The Bible refers to a time when Lucifer, Satan was in the Garden of Eden, actually the 1st earth Creation. He ruined it and God flooded the earth. It was eons later that God re-created this world on the earth, with the Adam and Eve we know.

If you read the Bible allot, you can see that there are many peoples on earths in the Universe. So, somehow man sinned on them also. So if you see here in this Book of Abraham, near the end, God wanted a Son to be a redeemer, and of course the one ,..Son of Man, who became Jesus was chosen and the other grew angry (Satan).

If you read some of my questions you can get deep Bible information.

I'll try to get some of the Bible texts about the First Earth (this planet) Satan ruined.

Many think the Devil became bad at the time of Adam and Eve, but he was bad Looooooooooooong before that!!

    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah...

    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jeremi...

The World wide flood (Not Noah's)

    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Habakk...

    There were NO survivors on earth;

    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Pe...

So, Genesis 1:2 opens with a flooded earth,..and God begins his second creation of plant, animal and man.

The Rainbow covenant, is for God to remember to not to fllood the whole earth again.

He did that 2 times as mentioned at John 12:28 ..'I BOTH glorified it, and will glorify it again.'

Next time God judges the wicked, very soon, he will use the elements, Fire, Floods, Hail, Pestilence, Insects, and re-create T-Rex to express his wrath on Satans world of false Christians first. (See my questions and references)

    Satan means resister

    devil means slanderer

So I would guess when this angel tricked Eve in the Garden of

Eden, that good angel turned bad and then became Satan.

And he's been evil ever since.

I think all those images of pitch-forked red devil in hell

    come from other stuff.

Good Question! Too bad I don't have the answer though.

I know the Bible does talk about people coming to Earth from other planets

god and satan are just things that humans made.

the weird thing is, my mom's friend has something called ''a magic eye''

like she can see EVERYTHING THAT'S GOING ON IN THE WORLD

she looked at heaven and she said it was beautiful and happy

but when she looked at hell

she got a heart attack and started hyperventilating and screaming and her eyes became pure white and she stopped and started crying

she saw satan and he was a horrifying dark beast that was bloody and scary. weird.
