Ed McMahon was an entertainer who acted as an announcer and host of several television shows.

Farrah Fawcet was an actress.

The loss of all of them will be felt, but which was a bigger loss? I will not even hazard to guess. . .

I can still crack one off to Farrah Fawcett.

Ed McMahon never mailed the check he kept promising me.

There was still a finite possibility that someone might come up with a Michael Jackson joke that was actually funny and original, but now we'll never know.
