What a disgusting man.

And he lies to his kids about what happened to the dogs... even worse. He didn't want to face the music about what a sick individual he is. I imagine even monster like him have trouble looking a child in the eye and telling the truth about their actions.

The craziest part was his "reason" for committing this awful act. Saving money so he could vacation? What a greedy, messed up man. How hard would it have been to ask a family member to watch the dogs because they were strapped for cash?

And what about this girlfriend, did he tell her his plan to murder the dogs? Disgusting.

Something is wrong with him. I don't care if he is a firefighter, that doesn't make him a saint. People in respected positions always get off easiest. 3 months for repeatedly shooting 2 dogs (which he obviously enjoyed doing) And then bragging about it? Sure "isolted incident that he remoresful for" HA!

I hope these poor dogs have found peace and are with other dogs at the rainbow bridge. RIP guys.

That is absolutely disgusting, he should have gotten more than just 3 months! How can someone be so cruel to an animal? There is no excuse for what he done, just so he could go on vacation with his girlfriend and not pay the bill of a boarding kennel, how cheap and greedy. He shouldn't be proud with what he has done to those poor animals! I'm sure he could have asked a family member to look after the dogs while they were away. Some one repeatedly shooting a person gets more than just 3 months it shouldn't be any different for repeatedly shooting TWO innocent animals.

I think he should have just given the dogs away if he didn't want them anymore. I may not believe he should have more jail time but I do think he should not be able to buy another animal. This should be put on the back slide tab of his drivers license. We are trying to make this a law for violators of animal rights. Where a person will have to show a drivers license to buy an animal of any kind.

I can see how some people are pushed to do some things.....but he had offers from others to care for the dogs. No excuses.

What I dont understand is how he went and rescued the dogs from a humane society in the first place and then did this?

I guess we will never understand the mentalities of mankind...Child-killers, Paedophiles, rapists and abusers alike.

This person is sick... anyone who would do that to 2 helpless animals would do that to a human. He needs more than jail he needs to be committed permanently!

His girlfriend needs to run, and the ex-wife needs to get a restraining order. If he can do this to dogs, what is he capable of with kids?
