Grandfather was in World War II???
My Grandfather was in the 9th. Inf. Div during WW II and fought in North Africa, Sicily, Normandy, Northern France,Ardennes, Central Europe, and the Rhineland.
I have all his pictures, metals, citations, discharge papers, personal journal, and letters that he wrote home, as well as many other things from the war. Is there any organizations out there or TV shows like the History channel that would be interested in these sort of things?
I don't wanna sell any of them I would just like to see about possibly loaning them.

First of all do none of you people listen? He said that he didn't want to sell any of it so, ebay is obviously not an option.Second of all he is doing nothing to disgrace or not cherish the stuff that he has but wants to share his grandfather's experiences with other people that would be interested hence wanting to put it on the History channel. I think that if you find a tv show that is interested in them you should only give them copies or be there when they film them so that you are sure to get everything back and in the condition that they were in when you gave them to you.

Well, you could do the following:
1)Put them on permanent loan to a muesuem.
2)Sell them on Ebay
3)See if the local VFW has any suggestions
4)See if anyone in the family would appreciate them as history.
My family has a sword given to us by Abraham Lincoln for being spys during the civil war. The sword is only worth a few thousand, maybe- but with the documentation and Abe's signature its almost priceless.

I wouldn't do anything with that stuff. I cherish the stuff that I have from my Grandfather and would never part with it. That stuff is worth the most to me out of all the stuff in my house. If anything, set up a sort of display for yourself. Frames, cabinets, etc....

If you don't intend to keep and take care of your grandfather's things, perhaps another relative might be interested. Otherwise, talk with your local museum, historical society, or VFW post.

I'm sure that the post museum where he was stationed would be very interested in most, if not all of that! Check out this http://www.octofoil.org/index.php for further guidance
