How come there are couches in some womens restrooms?

It's for women who might need to lay down because they feel ill. Or, maybe to nurse their baby (hopefully there is a better place for that than a restroom).

That is an interesting question.

It might have something to do with the long line in the restrooms. Generally women take longer in the bathroom, hence the longer line of women who wait. It isn't that way with men because it takes us less time to use the restroom.

My guess would be for waiting to use one of the stalls, since women naturally spend more time in the restroom than men.

Breastfeeding usually. Or if you're waiting for someone using the bathroom.
