Xbox 360 unable to play ripped DVD's?

i ripped a few of my favourite films onto my Computer Harddrive, i used DVD Shrink 3.2 to compress and rip my DVD's. but now i want to use my Xbox 360 Extender to play the DVD's yet i am unable to

i already have activated the DVD library on both and there is no problem with that, all the DVD's are set up and running but when i press play on my 360 it says it is unable to play the ripped DVD's

ps: i have already tried converting the DVD video files

also is it legal to rip dvd's?

help please

    As I know, DVD Shrink can't buning DVDs. If the DVD is not protected, youcan just use nero. If it's protected by CSS, then you may need DVD ripper to do the job.

    For me, I use Daniusoft DVD Ripper, which can help you rip DVD to almost all video and audio formats.

    Also, it is very easy to use.All you need to do is importing you files, choose output format and path,then start converting. All the tasks will be down in good quality and high speed.And you can edit you files too.

    Note, you should own the protected DVD and rip it for personal use. Dont do anything that's illegal.

    The copyright laws allow you to make backup copies of CDs, movies, etc that you already legally own. Making copies of things you do not own is very illegal.
