On Y/Answers, why do you think so few people vote when a question goes into Voting?
I often see only 1 vote cast and that's the vote that decides if my answer was good or not. It seems to me there should be at least 5 people voting on a question's answers to decide.
Also, often, no one votes on the question's answers, and so the question and its answers just hang, and weeks go by and no one ever votes.
Is this because most people prefer to ask and to answer questions and are just not interested in voting, or perhaps they spend so much time asking and answering that they don't have time or energy leftover to go into the voting section to vote? (Actually, that's me....I'd like to vote, but I'm so into answering that I don't have time leftover to go into voting).

I think it is because of what you said. I only vote because you can get more points from it, and I want good answers to be chosen. Also, many people are on level one and cannot vote.

Well I like to answer questions more then vote but when I ask a question I pick a Best answer (unless I don't remember to and it goes into voting).

In my case, I'm not allowed to vote until I get more points. I'd have to check the levels of the people answering to see if most other people are in that boat too.

i'v never run into questions in the archive that have vote options for them. usually, the only time i run into vote options is when im looking back on some of my older answers. that's when i'll vote for my own answer or whatever but usually i don't even bother to do that. maybe most people don't bother going back to look at their older answers to vote
- How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

I think it is because most people are on level one and con not vote or people just want to ask and answer and have better things to do then vote.
Hope this helped,
