Is racism still present in the feminist movement?

Though some issues pertain to all women, it seems that women's agenda might vary according to their racial or ethnic background.

Can this differences be solved or left aside for the common goals?

Update:

First world feminists did not recognize the plight of women of color in their own countries or saw the need for a different approach to equality for women in third world countries. Perhaps calling that 'racism' is too harsh, but at least we must admit there was some shortsightedness on their part.

I'm not all too aware of where the 'movement' stands at this point, but I do know racism is still raging, it's just a better kept secret and since we don't often see or hear of burning crosses or people hung from trees anymore, too many fools believe racism itself is dead.

I wouldn't be at all shocked if there was racism in the feminist movement as well...it's still alive everywhere. Things are an awful lot better than they used to be, but the fact it's more insidious now than it's ever been is leading many to the wrong conclusion.

There are different kinds of feminism... I think the different feminist movements have different names, I don't remember any...

Some believe that men should be lesser to women. Some believe they should be equal. Some believe that gender differences stem from social expectations, and some believe that they are truly a part of the human body.

As for any racial beliefs pertaining to feminist movements, I can't say for sure, but there probably are some. Even if you're one in a million, there are thus 7000 or so people just like you. Groups can and will be formed.

I'm sure in the end people can unite for the greater good. I think it probably will happen, too, and has happened. But everything takes time.

    Why do you ask this?

I'm not aware of any racism within the feminist movement. Are there racist feminists? Surely. But I'm pretty sure they are fighting for a common goal rather than each other.
